  1. I just finished viewing Nestor's video review of the Manfrotto 561BHDV-1 Fluid Video Monopod with Head. He did some great camera work. Only questions I have about this piece of gear are: is it easy to quickly adjust the height up and down? Also, will it safely hold a 2 pound camera for a minute or two on its own? Or does the operator need to be "hands on" at all times? Thanks.

    1. Hi, thanks for commenting! Yes it's very easy to adjust the height up and down. My right hand grabs the grippy foam part while my left hand unlocks the latches. After I find the new height, I clamp the latches to lock it in place.

      It can definitely hold a 2 pound camera for a couple of minutes. Especially if you tighten the screws in the base. I would just be careful if its windy or if the camera is off balance (for example if the lens is heavy and extends out).

      Also keep in mind the higher the monopod gets, the easier it is to tip over. Hope that helps!
